Barbara has been living in Florida since 1974. She moved to Broward with her family and their beagle Destiny in 2009. Barbara enjoys the people, the weather, and the different cultures and outdoor activities in her community.

Educational Background

Barbara graduated as a Dental Assistant (DA) from Florida International College in 1988. She continued her quest for learning, receiving a certificate in radiology and fulfilling the duties of a dental assistant from the Lindsey Hopkins Educational Center in 1990.

After several years of assisting chairside in a private practice, Barbara eventually became an office manager. In 1995, she decided to pursue a dental management position as the next step in her career. In 1999, she completed a course in dental coding, billing, and reimbursement from Heritage Professional Education in Fort Lauderdale.

To improve her skills in dealing with people and to gain knowledge in directing employees in a professional manner, Barbara earned a Business Supervision and Management degree from Miami Dade College, Florida in 2006.

Affiliations and Future Prospects

Barbara has been a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers since 2007. She is also a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Dental Assistants in the Concorde Career Institute in Florida since 2011.

Barbara enjoys resolving problems and interacting with clients and the dental team. Her positive attitude, motivation, and leadership skills paved the way for her to operate her own dental practice, All About Teeth LLC, in 2010. After more than 30 years in the dental field, she has successfully transitioned into doing remote dental billing and coding, dentist credentialing, insurance verification, and bookkeeping.

Barbara believes in helping dentists and their teams with the back-office tasks of running a dental practice so they can focus on patients. Barbara will get all the monies owed to them and create a win-win situation for everyone. During her free time, Barbara reads articles to stay updated with the latest dental technology.
